A physical SIM waits for shipping. Payment does not install it. When the card arrives, open the activation note on the option you bought and follow that pattern below. Two options from the same carrier can differ.
Plug and play
Where the product page says plug and play, insert the card and turn mobile data on. We do not submit a second activation for you. That group is KDDI, SoftBank, Chunghwa Telecom, Three, Orange, True, and Vietnamobile. Some Rakuten options are plug and play and some say online top-up without inserting a card. Use the option you bought: Rakuten.
A number that is already active
Options on sale for T-Mobile say pre-activated. Insert the card and the number should appear. For calls and texts over Wi-Fi, continue with Wi-Fi Calling.
Registration before use
The CSL Hong Kong SIM has to be inserted, then registered under that option's note. The steps are in Hong Kong registration. Do not follow only the summary at the top of the product page.
Send us the card number and the date
Vodafone and Movistar say to submit the ICCID printed on the card and the travel date you want. Find the ICCID, then send it with the order number through contact. Do not invent the start date.
Roaming on, or wait for the previous plan
Most CTExcel options say to insert the SIM and turn roaming on. Others say the next plan starts when the current one expires. CMLink has the same split, and some of its options leave activation blank. Do not copy one option's note onto another.
Dial the number the product page names
Dhiraagu says to dial 123. Do that only for this card.
A blank writable card, and cards with no activation note
- APEX includes no data. A profile has to be written onto it. See the APEX guide.
- giffgaff options do not state an activation method. Follow the carrier sheet in the package. Do not borrow steps from another card.
