This is a physical SIM, not a travel eSIM. After payment you wait for shipping. You cannot scan a code and leave. Once the card arrives, Hong Kong real-name registration has to be finished before use. That happens on CSL's registration page, not in your account on this site.
Follow the option you actually bought
The product page has two options, and their activation notes differ. Check which one you ordered: CSL Hong Kong SIM.
1The Greater China roaming option
Insert the SIM, turn mobile data on, then complete Hong Kong real-name registration through CSL's registration page or the QR code that comes with the card before you rely on service. The product page states that Hong Kong rules require this registration.
2The number-standby and SMS option
Insert the SIM and complete Hong Kong real-name registration using the instructions in the package. Do not assume the other option's page path. Use the sheet that came with the card.
What we cannot do
- The registration page belongs to CSL. We cannot submit it from your order, and we cannot see the ID check result.
- This article does not list accepted ID types or how long registration takes. The product page does not say, and inventing it would be wrong.
- Data allowance, call minutes, and price are on the product page. They are not repeated here, so this article cannot drift from the option on sale.
Do not mix this up with a travel eSIM
A travel eSIM does not use this Hong Kong registration. It is a downloaded profile. The steps are in the installation guide. A physical SIM is not returnable once sold; a confirmed defect is replaced without sending the card back. See the refund policy. How to choose the format: the comparison.
If the card has arrived and registration or service still fails after you follow the instructions, use contact and include the order number plus the step you are stuck on. Whether registration is accepted is still CSL's decision.
