Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-09-10
These terms set out what each side is responsible for when you buy and use a eSIM Cove travel eSIM data plan. Placing an order means you have read and accepted them.
1.What we provide
eSIM Cove sells prepaid eSIM data plans for travellers. The plans are data only — they do not include calls or SMS. Your existing number can stay active for calls and texts, billed by your original carrier under its own rates.
We are not a mobile network operator. The actual network is provided by local carriers at your destination; we buy data allowances through upstream suppliers and resell them to you.
2.Your account
Buying requires an account registered with an email address. Your order history and eSIM activation credentials are visible only inside your own account.
Keep your password safe. Actions taken through your account are treated as your own; if you suspect someone else is using it, contact us immediately.
3.Prices and payment
The amount and currency shown on the product and checkout pages is what you actually pay. There are no hidden add-ons. Prices may change as upstream costs change; the amount shown at checkout when you order is the one that applies.
Payment is handled by a third-party payment provider. Our servers never receive or store your card number or payment credentials.
4.Delivery and installation
Once payment succeeds, the system automatically places the upstream order and issues your eSIM profile. The QR code and installation details are emailed to you and also shown on the order detail page. This is automatic and usually completes within minutes; if an upstream failure prevents provisioning, the order is marked failed and handled under the refund policy.
Installing an eSIM profile requires the device to be online (Wi-Fi or your existing mobile data both work). A profile can only be installed on one device, and once deleted it usually cannot be reinstalled.
5.What you need to confirm yourself
We cannot check the following three things on your behalf, and they determine whether the plan will work at all. The installation guide explains how to verify each one.
- Your device supports eSIM. On iPhone, check Settings → General → About for an eSIM entry or a second IMEI; on Android, dial *#06# and look for an EID.
- Your device is unlocked and not tied to your original carrier.
- After you land, you have enabled the new line per the installation guide and turned on data roaming for it.
6.Limits of the service
Speed, signal strength and coverage depend on the local carrier's actual network. We do not promise any particular speed or uninterrupted availability. Remote areas, underground spaces, and moving across borders can all noticeably degrade performance.
When a plan's data allowance runs out, the connection pauses or is throttled according to that plan's rules. You can buy another plan for the same destination at any time.
7.Acceptable use
Plans are for personal travel use. Please do not resell them, distribute them in bulk, or use them for anything that breaks local law at your destination. If that happens we may terminate the affected lines and reserve the right to recover our costs.
8.Refunds
Refund rules live on their own page. The core of it: if we fail to provision your eSIM you get an automatic full refund, and successfully provisioned plans are not refundable. Please read that page before you buy.
9.Limits of our liability
Our liability for this service is capped at the amount you actually paid for the order in question. Indirect losses — missed connections, lost working time — caused by local network outages, device incompatibility, or not following the installation guide are not covered.
None of this affects consumer rights you cannot waive under the law where you live.
10.Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the "last updated" date at the top of this page changes with them. Changes apply only to orders placed afterwards and are not applied retroactively to completed orders.
